As those of you who visited us will no doubt have noticed, Mach 2008 at the NEC was a complete success! Our golf themed stand not only looked amazing but did it’s job in attracting an enormous amount of interest from everyone at the show. 10 of you will already have enjoyed your champagne for winning our “Nearest the Pin” competition which we ran every morning and afternoon. If you weren’t lucky enough to win you must still have had a great deal of fun testing your skills and possibly receiving a couple of tips from our resident Golf Professional.
As for the machines, this show we launched the impressive Dugard Eagle XP1600 – a 3 axis Bridge Type Vertical Machining Centre. The XP1600was very well received at Mach and our first one was sold to EBS from Llanelli in South Wales. All 18 machines at the show were well received and the orders came rolling in generating over £4.8 million!
The XP1600 wasn’t the only addition to the Dugard portfolio – we are now proud to be the exclusive UK dealers of CME machines from Spain. This proved to be a very shrewd union as we sold our first CME machine at Mach as well, this time to Lunn Engineering.
We had a great time at Mach this year as I'm sure you all did, please email us with any comments about the show or any questions about the machines you saw.
